We thank you from our Hearts and Souls
Please join us at this year's Gala on Friday, October 15, 2010
Thanks to an incredible performance from legendary musician Paul Simon, the Heart and Soul Gala was standing room only on October 3, 2009. "The outpouring of community support that we have received for this annual event, which benefits patient care initiatives at Norwalk Hospital, was phenomenal," Mary Franco, President of the Norwalk Hospital Foundation said, "it was both gratifying and inspiring".
Paul Simon and cellist Mark Stewart played all the crowd's favorites including The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, Slip Slidin' Away, Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, Homeward Bound, The Boxer and Father and Daughter from his new CD - Surprise.
The 2009 Gala honored Pradip Pathare, MD of Westport, Radiation Oncologist and Medical Director of the Whittingham Cancer Center at the Hospital, with the prestigious William Tracey, M.D. Award. Dr. Pathare credited his entire team of physicians and staff for the award.
The event was co-chaired by Lauren Eason and Julie Murray, both of Norwalk, and members of the 17th Annual Gala Committee included Kathryn Benedett Lupoli of Westport, Ann Blystone, Nancy Nelson, and Allison Passero of Norwalk, Cathleen Crowley-Piscitell of Weston, Kat Curtin, Gina Ely and Teri Vineyard of Rowayton, Janet Dobos and Saras Nair, MD, of Wilton, Sheila Klein of New Canaan and Carole Seligson of Green Farms.
